MEDIU – Indonesia Strengthen Ties in Education

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) recently had a meeting with the Governor of South Sulawesi Region, Shahrul Yassin Limpo in concurrence of its efforts to improve and develop the education sectors in Indonesia. MEDIU is the first university of Malaysia that develops a learning center with the latest technology facilities in the Historic City of Makassar.

The meeting was held at the Governor’s official residence in order to strengthen and support the bilateral relations between the two countries. The discussions attended by Director of Education Department of South Region of Indonesia, Mr. Andi Patabai Pabokuri which discusses several matters include bilateral cooperation between MEDIU which is headquarters in Malaysia and the government of South Sulawesi in Indonesia.

In a joint statement, he agreed to give full cooperation and support to the university and these include providing an option of education to the people of Indonesia. In line with current needs, MEDIU’s to offer education based on “e-learning” and conventional method “face to face”, thus will facilitate in creating a generation of educated professionals.

With hope the existence of MEDIU Learning Center in the City of Makassar which started its operations in February 2008 will further strengthen the existing relations between Malaysia and the government of South Sulawesi.
